The Company

An award-winning, long-established Gold coast builder with a successful history in delivering a variety of projects, typically between $3m - $50m. This builder has operated throughout several ‘boom’ and ‘busts’ and maintain a consistent, controlled pipeline of work throughout both markets. Their values are centred around offering a solutions focused service to their clients and finding win/win outcomes for all involved in their projects.

The Role

  • Manage the commercial and financial requirements of the project, from day 1.
  • Work closely with the PM to ensure all commercial & financial requirements are met
  • Administrate projects within time and budget constraints
  • Evaluate and manage all variations and progress claims
  • Develop budget schedules, monitor and report during the construction and maintenance periods
  • High level leadership to the wider team
  • Lead procurement process and negotiate commercial terms with project stakeholders
  • Manage client and head contract
  • Identify, assess, allocate and manage risks

Your Experience

  • 5+ years' experience as a Contracts Administrator on multi-resi/commercial building construction projects ($30m+)
  • Excellent contract knowledge and management of head contract claims, variations, EOT etc
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management and/or Quantity Surveying is desirable
  • Excellent computer skills
  • A proven ability to work within defined quality assurance procedures
  • A clear and concise understanding of Australian Standard building contracts and their administration
  • Design and construct experience
  • Demonstrated experience in contracts administration including preparing the subcontracts accounts, financial control and reporting of the project
  • Development and training of CA’s & Cadets
